Local Priorities Burglary Message |
||
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding burglary, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.
On Tuesday 30th September 2025 there had been a burglary on Chichester Avenue. Residents had only been out for approximately thirty minutes from 1130 - 1200. Then entry seems to have occurred through the back window which was smashed and open at 1154. While it is not yet confirmed what exactly has been stolen, I would strongly advise everyone look after and lock up their jewellery as the suspects believe it to be difficult to track down. Secure any entry through the back gardens and remember the goal is to make sure you can delays the burglars enough so that the officers can make their way and get them. Otherwise we will need information such as descriptions, times, directions, and possibly forensics. While we will continue to pursue burglars in the area, there are steps you can do to help keep your property safe. Make sure that you:
